Sup doods. Dave here from DSD. I'm just your average guitar player who wishes he was Jimmy Page. I'm not really a guitar player but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I've been a bass player most of my life and like Dan, I've since recovered.
Not much exciting to say. I've led the life of a musician long enough to know that I didn't really want to become a rock star which is cool because now I can go on with my life knowing that I tried the rock star thing and I didn't like it. The road sucks, dealing with record executives sucks, no one in the music biz is thruthful and never being able to come home and see your family at the end of the day sucks so why do it? You've heard the saying "sell your soul to rock-n-roll"? It's absolutely true because thats about what it takes to make it. Now days, I spend 1/3 of my life sitting in a 3 x 5 cubicle creating software for one of the largest financial institutions in the US. I spend my days answering to bitter little people who keep asking "is your program ready yet?". I don't see much daylight anymore but this still beats being a rock star. Thats all for now....GET BACK TO WORK.
