| 8/18/11 | HARD ROCK HIDEOUT DSD REVIEW |
| A couple of local bands Karma 10, and Dirty Side Down opened this show, and I have to give Kudos to both of those bands. Karma 10 played some originals as well as covers. This was the first show for Karma 10′s new guitarist Richie Baier. Baier was pretty damn good, and showed a lot of chemistry with the band for being his first show. Dirty Side Down was up next, and they did a stellar job at getting the crowd revved up for Lynch Mob and Mr. Big. Singer Dan Compton looked like a cross between Disburbed’s David Draiman and Rob Halford from Judas Priest. He had a pretty impressive vocal range, and sang quite a few songs that most bands would dare touch, including Queensryche’s “Queen of the Reich”, Iron Maiden’s “Where Eagles Dare” and RATT’s “The Morning After”. I am usually not big on cover bands, but I would go see Dirty Side Down again in a heartbeat. They were really good. The same can not be said for Lynch Mob unfortunately. | |

Like Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert, George Lynch has attained legendary status and is considered one of the best 80's shredders still playing today. | 5/19/11 | NOTICE! O'SHECKY'S EARLY START TIME! |
| To all 80's headbangers! Take note of the early start time for the O'Shecky's show on 05/21/2011. O'Sheckey's and Dirty Side Down are honored to present Columbus metal veterans "The Brothers Grimm" on 05/21/2011 starting at 8:00pm. Get there early! For those who were around back in the 80's, The Brothers Grimm were a staple in the Columbus metal scene and also gave Petty Theft (now known as Dirty Side Down) a few gigs back in the 80's which helped Petty Theft establish an identity within the Columbus metal scene. Dirty Side Down members Keith and Dave recall the last show they played with the Grimm's. "It was at the McCoy Center in 1982 and one of the last shows we ever played with the now late Tim Clark. We've always enjoyed the show the Grimm's put on and we've always thought they were a great bunch of guys. They have always been very supportive.", says Dave. Dirty Side Down is grateful for the Brothers Grimm support and look forward to sharing the stage again for the first time in over 30 years. Get there early to see some serious rock-n-roll from the Brothers Grimm. |

| 4/7/11 | COLUMBUS MUSIC REVIEW ON DSD |
| FROM THE COLUMBUS REVIEW - Posted by Steve Dustcircle Bringing great classic metal and hard rock cover songs to the stage, but without the usual thing. Dirty Side Down at O'Sheckys brought us the popular bands' b-sides and shoulda-been hits. DSD has a talent to bringing heavy metal of the 80's to the hard rock crowd, and making anthem rock come across like metal. Very presentable, and looking the part, Dirty Side Down leans low into their riffs, and saddles back into their grooves. The singer raises the crowds cheers with upward palms, commanding a response. At one point when I was taking photographs of the band, the singer and guitarist stopped mid-song to pose like rock stars for me. Brilliant! If you want to hear familiar, retro jams, but not the tired stuff on Rhino compilations, Dirty Side Down is the band you want not to miss. |

| 3/8/11 | DSD WILL HAVE TO WATCH |
| By now, all fans of the Columbus Ohio music scene are aware of the incidents that took place at the VIP lounge on Sunday 03/06/2011. Since then, the Alrosa Villa has coordinated a benefit show for Friday 03/11/2011 to help the victims and to help pay for Tom Clines hospital bills. Dirty Side Down was rumored to be performing at the benefit and those rumors are false. Dave Cothern called the Alrosa Villa to get Dirty Side Down in the show but by the time Dave called, it was too late. The Alrosa had already filled up all the open positions. In the next two weeks, Dirty Side Down will be announcing plans to do their part to help out Tom Cline and the victims families. Dirty Side Down again sends deepest sympathys to all involved. | |

| 1/28/11 | HARD ROCK HAVEN REVIEWS DSD AND RATT!! |
| September 8, 2010 by Hard Rock Haven staff writer John McGee RATT rolled into Ohio’s capital on a hot August night to a sold-out crowd. You could feel the energy vibrating through the air as the opening band, Dirty Side Down, pumped up the audience with some classic 80’s hits. Dirty Side Down is an incredibly good band to watch perform. This was the right choice for an opening act. After the opening band played a set lasting about 45 minutes RATT finally took the stage. This was their first appearance at the Alrosa Villa since 1997 when they played with LA Guns. Needless to say Columbus, Ohio was geared up to see them play. As the stage filled with smoke Warren DeMartini’s guitar was ablaze with the opening lick of “You’re In Love”. The crowd erupted; a true sign that RATT N’ ROLL had undeniably returned. Never stopping RATT played straight into “Lay it Down”. Only as the final notes reverberated through the room did Stephen Pearcy finally say “Columbus Ohio how the hell are you?!” RATT reached down into the cellar and came back with the song “Lack of Communication” before moving into “Take a Big Bite” the first of four songs off the band’s new album Infestation. RATT continued to pull out the hits from their earlier releases. The songs included “I Want a Woman”, “Slip of the Lip”, “Loving You is a Dirty Job” and “Back for More”. Having seen the band during their heyday I can confidently say that they can still put on one hell of a show! Stephen Pearcy is still one the best front men in Rock and Roll; proving once and for all that he is the voice of RATT. Having proven in the 80’s that he was a guitar-God; Warren DeMartini still continues to astonish his fans with his guitar prowess. Carlos Cavazo, the newest member of the RATT PACK, seamlessly slid into the 2nd guitar position sharing guitar solos and limelight with DeMartini as if they had been doing it for years. The rhythm section powered by Bobby Blotzer and Robbie Crane was like that of a well -oiled machine. In this photographer’s opinion there were many highlights of this unbelievable show. The most memorable being when RATT performed their encore of “Round and Round” and the crowd went insane singing along and pumping their fists in the air. Overall this was an amazing show that simply put…rocked. RATT once again showed that they have never lost their touch. This band still has what it takes to perform to another sold-out crowd thirteen years later. Side note: If you were unable to catch one of RATT’s shows on this tour you really don’t know what you missed. Set List: You’re in Love Lay it Down Lack of Communication Take a Big Bite I Want a Woman Slip of the Lip Loving You is a Dirty Job Last Call Best of Me Back for More Nobody Rides for Free Way Cool Jr. Wanted Man Morning After Round and Round Eat Me Up Alive |

| 1/26/11 | SURPRISE!!! DSD @ O'SHECKYS! |
| "I didn't think we had plans for this weekend but I guess we do now" said Dave in response to finding out about this last minute booking at O'Shecky's Live! It turns out Dave and Keith got a text from Mary McQuain on Monday (1/24) letting the guys know of the last minute cancellation at O'Shecky's. Apparently Mary and Maggie Snyder were just surfing around on Facebook when they found out about the cancellation. Mary sent texts to DSD and then next thing you know, POOF!!! DSD had a show booked. Thanks a ton Mary and Maggie for the assist! You guys rawk. | |
| 1/24/11 | ROBBING ZOMBIE? ANYONE? |
| Robbing Zombie, Central Ohio's own tribute to Rob Zombie, will be playing February 05, 2011 at the E-street pub in Richmond Indiana. Be there if you can! So...why in the world would the Dirty Side Down website advertise such a show? Because Dave, the guitarist from DSD, will be the guitarist for Robbing Zombie that night. Due to scheduling conflicts, Matt Bradley, the full time guitarist for Robbing Zombie, could not play the show and Dave got the call to fill in. Fear not DSD fans, Dave isn't leaving Dirty Side Down. He's just playing this show to help out Matt Bradley and to make a few extra dollars. If you would like to see Dave in a role outside of DSD, this is a good opportunity to take a road trip and show Indiana how DSD rocks! | |
| 1/14/11 | A DSD “DID YOU KNOW?” STORY |
| So there he was, Keith Cossin the drummer for Dirty Side Down, fixing popcorn on a Saturday night getting ready to watch the original 1969 version of “True Grit” featuring John Wayne, Glen Campbell and Kim Darby. On this night, Keith figured he’d be in the house watching TV and relaxing all night since Dirty Side Down didn’t have a show scheduled. Just as the movie started, Keith’s phone started to ring. On the other end was the singer from Bon Voyage asking Keith for help. “What’s up Keith?” asked the singer in a concerned tone to which Keith replied “uh…not much, what’s up”?. Apparently Bon Voyage had a show in the next 30 minutes at Slapsy Maxies and the drummer was too sick to play the show. The singer called Keith to see if he could fill in for the night. Keith asks, “Let me get this straight, you have a show in 30 minutes and you have no drummer at all?”. The singer from Bon Voyage said “Yes that’s exactly what is happening and we’ll pay you right now to come out and fill in”. Keith, being a great drummer and AC/DC fan, said, “ummm OK!”. At this point, Bon Voyage now has a new hero! Our own Keith Cossin saved the day by filling in for the night for the sickly Bon Voyage drummer. Having never played with Bon Voyage, Keith was a little concerned with the set once he showed up to the club. The guitarist portraying Angus Young said, “Eh, no worries mate…just watch me for the changes”. Keith said that sounded good in theory until he was on stage and realized that “Angus bangs his head the entire time and really couldn’t communicate with me”, so Keith was completely on his own. Keith said everything went well in the end and thanked Bon Voyage for the opportunity. If anyone is interested in seeing Keith playing with Bon Voyage, there are some pictures on Rob Barry’s facebook page. We will try to make those pictures available here in the days to come. You did us proud Keith. Rock on! |

| 1/2/11 | A BIG THANKS! FROM DSD! |
| Dirty Side Down would like to thank everyone for all their support in 2010. DSD would especially like to thank O'Shecky's LIVE for having us as the NYE entertainment. DSD would also like to say "Happy New Years" to our new friends from Bobaflex. The night started off loud n heavy right at 10pm. Dirty Side Down started off with covers by Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. The rest of the show was pretty much a steady diet of hard in -your-face 80's metal. Just before midnight, DSD broke out a cover of Iron Maiden's - "Two Minutes to Midnight" signifyinig the end of 2010. At midnight many kisses and hugs were present as everyone welcomed in 2011. O'Shecky's performed the count down as DSD took a break. Right after midnight, DSD rocked with old new new friends. It was great to see all the old faces and DSD was happy to see Bobaflex not only in attendance but rocking out to DSD as well. Thanks guys! While DSD has no shows scheduled for 2011, keep coming back to this website and you can keep up with all the projects DSD has going on including their tributes to Queensryche and Ratt. Thanks again to all who made 2010 so much fun! |

| 12/11/05 | GREAT WHITE AND DSD SHOWS CANCELLED |
| Today, Dirty Side Down was notified by The Alrosa Villa that since Jack Russel is too ill to sing that it would be better to cancel than to keep the show going with a different singer. The following is what Dirty Side Down received from the Alrosa; Rick Cautela has decided to cancel Great White show dated 6/24/11.It has come to Rick's attention that the original lead singer(JACK RUSSEL) from GREAT WHITE is not able to perform due to medical conditions. The Alrosa reputation is far more important than a single concert. As far as a replacement of this show dated 6-24-11 the Alrosa is trying to book DIRTY SIDE DOWN on that same night to have an 80's concert with 4 or 5 bands. That is yet to be determined. The Alrosa is sorry for this inconvenience. PLEASE RETURN ALL TICKETS TO PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND Diry Side Down will be keeping Jack in our thoughts and prayers and we hope he recovers quickly so we can continue to enjoy Great White. Dirty Side Down and the Al Rosa Villa are working on the details of an 80's show in leu of the Great White show. If all goes well, there will be a band playing the Al Rosa Villa that have not played there since 1989. Stay tuned to this website. You don't want to miss out. Dirty Side Down was forced to cancel this weekend's show at Lucky's due to illness. Fear not headbangers, this weekends Lucky's show was rescheduled so we'll still bang our heads! |

| 6/11/04 | DSD BACK AT THE ALROSA VILLA |
| June 24th will mark the first show of 2011 at the Alrosa Villa for Dirty Side Down. Dirty Side Down’s last show at the Alrosa Villa was with Armada last September and before that, they performed to a sold out crowd opening for 80’s metal giants, Ratt. This time Dirty Side Down will once again open for Great White. “It’s getting to be a regular occurrence and the guys in Great White actually remembered me and Dirty Side Down. I found this out while I was back stage at a Ratt concert not too long ago” says Dave Cothern, lead guitarist for Dirty Side Down. Dave went on to add “Mark Kendall and I have spent a bit of time together over the last few years just chatting about sports, music and touring. He’s just a regular guy who happens to play guitar. This time when we play with Great White, I’d like to see if we could play a song or two with them either during the show or at sound check”. Ticket prices and availability are unknown at this time so check back with this website for ticket info . When tickets finally go on sale, they will be available on the Dirty Side Down ‘SHOWS’ page. The band looks forward to seeing everyone there! |
